I needed to replace my cycling shoes, and these have been great. I use SPD pedals, but I'm not a mountain biker, and so I wanted to find a pair of shoes that fit well for touring and road biking. These are ideal--contrary to what they are marked as by Amazon, they are touring shoes, not mountain biking shoes. They are well-made, comfortable, and easy to walk in, but they don't have a hiking tread. The footbed itself is slightly less flexible than a typical mountain biking shoe (in that way, closer to a road shoe), which is good for pedaling long distances. The velcro fasteners hold your foot into place well. When ordering them, I was worried about numbness, etc., but I've worn them on several longer rides--including one century--without any problems or discomfort.The one issue I had, however, was the sizing. Other shoes I've ordered in Euro sizes have been 44 or 45--I'm between the two, normally--but the size 45 shoe was too small (lengthwise--the width was fine). So, I returned them and got a 46, which fit perfectly.

I like these shoes because I can walk in them for short distances. The soles are stiff and smooth but they have a rubbery coating so they are not slippery. The SPD cleats are recessed so I don't stumble over them. They are too stiff for proper walking shoes, so I cannot go far in them, but they are fine for a short walk into a shop or cafe.Compared to SPD-SL shoes, these are more comfortable, but a little heavier. They are well-made, with quality materials and stitching and I expect them to last a long time.I can put my foot down with confidence, I don't have to remove my shoes whenever I get off the bike, and I don't stumble around, making strange noises and looking like a dork.

Nice sport shoe appropriated for cycling, resistent and confortable, I think its a great option for amateurs ans easy to control while you are riding yor bike away!
