I had been wearing a pair of Sidi's for about 5 years and all of sudden starting getting hot spots on my feet and nothing I did seem to help. So I gave a new pair of shoes a try. I liked these shoes out of the box. First day went on a 45 mile ride without any problems. I would recommend these shoes.

I purchased these shoes about 2 weeks ago. I was looking to upgrade from a pair of old Sidi SPD MTB shoes that I've had for a while. I was always a bit reluctant to move from SPD to SPD-SL cleats for various reasons (weight, cost, mobility, etc). However, I decided the pros were finally worth it. Read a lot of reviews about these shoes and decided to pull the trigger on them. They are very nice for the price. The shoes only have the SPD-SL cleat bolts, unlike the R087 that have both SPD and SPD-SL bolts. The are very light shoes and seem to be well built. They come with 1 pair of cleats that have some degree of float on them. Also, the strap makes a HUGE difference, especially pulling up hill. I really like the larger platform pedals. Giantnerd was very helpful as well.
