These fit well, and I hadn't had the BOA lace system before. It's nice! Also, once you've ridden with a lower stack height, you'll definitely notice the difference if you put on a pair of older shoes without 4-hole Speedplay. Albeit minor, you'll notice the 'log roll' effect of being on a higher stack and you'll know why the trend is toward lower stack height. These could be lighter, but the soles are super stiff, so that's where the weight is...in the thick carbon sole.

I had never heard of BOA lacing before. I was honestly just looking for some speedplay specific shoes and could not pass this up. What a great deal and what luck to have them left in my size. I did order the special plate as mentioned in the box for the pedals. I wonder if that was the issue for the poor guy who had the bottom crack... I am very pleased with these...
