4Very good
By Regular Guy 2000
I like these shoes a lot. They are comfortable and work well for me.PROS:- They are comfortable. No "hot spots" inside.- The ratcheting top strap makes it very easy to fine-tune the tightness, even while riding.- The soles are very rigid.- They have a low-key appearance, at least in black/blue stripe like I chose. (I hate "hey look at me, LOOK! AT! ME!" cycling attire.)- I forget I have them one once I start riding (which is the goal).CONS:- They have a vent hole in the front of the sole that freezes my feet in winter. (I covered each hole with duct tape for winter use.)- The front/top-of-tongue area was stiff when I got them, and the first ride or two, bothered my front ankle area just a bit. They seemed to "break in" after that, and now feel fine.- They are not carbon fiber, so maybe they're heavy. I don't care, they work.UPDATE: I've now got several hundred miles on these shoes - still really like them a lot. No hot-spots, no flexing, and they appear to be wearing very well.
