Surfing rock gardens sans bike is exhilarating. It's also pretty rough on shoe soles. If you're lucky enough to ride Sidi Dragons, you can replace the tread parts with a few clicks of the mouse and a Phillips screwdriver. Each shoe has four replaceable sections, and the Sidi Dragon SRS Sole Replacement System comes with these eight tread parts (four per shoe) and enough screws to replace everything. You can swap out everything at once, or do it as necessary.Please note: these are not compatible with the Dragon II Carbon sole.

for Sidi SRS Spiders and Dragons. I prefer these black, grippy ones. They lasted me a year of 2x/wk technical riding on very rocky and jagged limestone. Problem is my uppers wore out in 3 years and was going to try and eek out another year, which would bring my annual cost of these closer to $100 ($200 for shoes new on craigslist + $80 + $80 for previous 2 years' replacements or $120/yr). Ending up bailing on Sidi's after 8 yrs in the same pair of Dominators and another 3 in Spiders. Fit great but too expensive and velcro straps were better in old Doms then Spiders. Switched to a $90 pair of shimanos, with buckle and they're doing the job just fine. Can wear these barefoot too, when I forget socks.
